i brought a new dining room table its black marble i have plastic covering on it?

I dont want my kids to scratch it up, im about to take it off, whats the best i can do to prevent scratches?

Marble is a very hard substance. It will take a lot to scratch it. But the actual surface/finish does get scratched. There is a cleaning product/protector made especially for marble. Ask the place you bought the table from or a kitchen place that sells marble counter tops. Otherwise, any hardware store-Ace Hdwe, Menard's, Home Depot, Lowe's should carry this product. Your table will last a lifetime. Tell the kids if they want to inherit it then they should take of it! Lots of luck and Happy Easter!
Table Cloth. Sure it covers the marble and nobody will be able to see it, but it should help prevent damage. They make some pretty thick tablecloths that should give max protection.
