Black Dining Tables

Hi, plz advice. My apartment is all taupe,off-white and black. I want to put in color.More explaination inside?

My apartment is all dull colors. A taupe sofa,black leather daybed, off-white shag rug, off-white crochet pillows, black TV stand,black TV,taupe dining table with black leather chairs and 2 bar chairs that have an off white fabric seat. There is a brown china cabinet and a brown and glass coffee table. I need to brighten up with some colors. I have some orange and yellow scattered around and some multicolor decorations-- a dried flower setting, a glass flower setting and 4 small glass vases are all multicolored . Should I put more splashes of multicolored objects or of yellow and orange? Plz give me ideas

1. Add some artwork with reds, oranges, and yellows in it. That will draw the colours up to the walls, and will brighten the space up a lot...have a coloured centre piece for your dining table (coloured flowers in a glass vase would be perfect).
2. Black, taupe and cream is a very sophisticated color combination. Add some maroon and navy blue. Have fun!
3. I would only choose 2 other colours to go with it. I like the idea of Red & Orange or Teal & Red, i am not sure if i like the idea of Orange & Yellow together, i am sorry but i just can not see it working. You do not need very many accents to make it work for you, all you really need is a couple of vases, a couple of extra cushions in a colour to go with the off white ones you already have, some art and that is about it. http://www.kimtdesigns.com/collections/cushions
4. I would continue in the yellow and orange colors if you like how it looks so far, you could get an afghan for the black leather daybed that would add more color there, also you could possibly make slip covers for the bar stools.
