how do i get a black distressed/ black rubbed look on my unfinished dining chairs?

i got these chairs from a garage sale for $15. they are just like the windsor chairs that i have wanted from broyhill, but they are unfinished. the ones from broyhill are black distressed, they cost $215.00. i would like to know how to get that look, and have the paint durabilty that a dining room chair needs.

1. go to your local home depot or paint store because there is special paint needed to do it correctly and to have lasting durability, they will also give you instructions on how to apply it and what tool you can use
2. My dining chairs are a mustard yellow rubbed in a rusty ebony color. So, I would assume you first have to put a color or some finish of walnut, etc....then you go back and the last thing you do is use paint thinner with the rub you want and paint on. There is a shop in Houston called Surroundings on Sunset Blvd. that sells these handcrafted Windsor chairs and they come in about 8 bright colors ....fabulous chairs...sell for 300.00 each....that might be a thought. My favorite ones are the bright red ones...
